Join us for an exciting opportunity to train your dog in the art of foraging for wild mushrooms! Our Intro to Forage & Field Dogs class focuses on teaching your canine companion how to locate Morel mushrooms using positive reinforcement techniques.Class Structure:
First Session: A live, remote Zoom lecture designed for handlers only. This initial class lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and lays the foundation for effective training.
Subsequent Sessions: Outdoor, in-person training where you and your dog will apply the techniques discussed in the lecture.
Schedule:
Start Date: Sunday, March 29th. 3:30pm
The first class is a live zoom session. All other sessions are outdoors and in-person.
Outdoor/In-Person: Sunday's: April 12th, 19th and 26th. 3:30-4:30pm (No class April 5th)

Cost: $175 per dog-handler team
Additional Details:
An extra fee per class is required to purchase fresh mushrooms necessary for training exercises.
A field trip with an experienced wild mushroom forager MAY be available for graduates, offering real-world foraging experience with your dog. This optional adventure will occur during mushroom season, likely in mid-May, and will have a small additional fee.

Requirements:
Dogs should have basic manners training prior to enrolling.
