Get Ready for the Exciting Return of Train Days 2026 at the Beltrami County History Center!Mark your calendars because the Beltrami County Historical Society is thrilled to host Train Days 2026 on April 11 and 12 at the Beltrami County History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW, Bemidji.
Join us for a weekend of fun! Train Days will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 12. Dive into the world of model railroads with displays in multiple scales, including a fantastic LEGO city and railroad setup!
Step back in time with a tour of the X259 caboose, a beautifully restored 1948 gem from the Great Northern Railway, offering a nostalgic journey into the golden age of American rail travel. Enjoy even more with model train vendors, railroad-themed souvenirs and gifts, captivating train videos, and plenty of activities for the little ones all weekend long!
Since 1985, the Northern Iron Horse Railroad Society has been a beloved hub for regional train enthusiasts. From humble beginnings in coffee shops to the amazing permanent model railroad layout in the History Center’s basement, members have cherished the joy of building and expanding their display, sharing camaraderie and passion for trains!
All aboard for this year’s coloring contest! Railroad fans of every age are invited to participate. Find coloring pages in the Bemidji Pioneer, Buyline, and at the History Center. Submit your entries by April 6 to be displayed during Train Days and to compete for exciting prizes. No purchase necessary to join in the fun!
Admission to Train Days is just $7 for adults, $5 for veterans, senior citizens, and tribal members, and $3 for students from kindergarten through college. BCHS members and SNAP recipients enjoy free entry!
