We'll dig into the 9 different avalanche problems and how to observe, interpret, and manage them while touring. Topics include an overview of layered mountain snowpack formation, identifying avalanche problems, and weighing evidence versus uncertainty to make better choices in the field.
The event is open to all winter backcountry travelers, whether you're on skis, splitboard, snowmobile, cross country skis, or snowshoes. Connect with other mountain people, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of the snowpack.
