Two long winters. One great injustice. A thousand uneaten hot dogs. Last year, the snow betrayed us and the Trailgate that was promised became the Trailgate that never was. The grills fell silent. The buns went stale. Hope flickered… but did not die.
Some things are inevitable: the Iditarod, the return of the light, and the triumphant comeback of Trailgate.
We’re back. This is the comeback tour. The redemption arc. The grills are hot. The vibes are hotter. The hot dogs are finally getting the destiny they deserve.
Gather the hottest dawgs in your life and join us for a day of beer & mimosas, heroic quantities of hot dogs, dog teams & mushers, diphtheria serum, and the thundering beats of DJ 501(c)(3).
Here’s the need-to-know:
- Party starts @ 9am, dogs start running @ 10am
- There is a suggested donation of $20 for unlimited food and bev (cash/venmo)
- Same spot as recent years: Eastchester Park, between Rogers Park and Fairview, just off the Seward Highway and 20th Ave. We’ll be across the bridge on the Rogers Park side of the trail.
- Street parking is limited, so please carpool, bike, ski, walk, dance, or teleport – whatever works. Let’s be good neighbors!
- LEAVE YOUR DOGS AT HOME
- Please plan ahead for a safe ride home – we want to see all you hot dawgs again next year.
