Join the Tulsa Urban Wilderness Coalition for a hands-on trail workday at Ray Harral Nature Park focused on invasive species removal, with special attention on lespedeza. This workday plays an important role in protecting native plants and maintaining healthy, accessible trails in one of Broken Arrow’s most valued natural areas.Lespedeza spreads quickly, crowding out native vegetation and reducing habitat quality. Removing it by hand is one of the most effective ways to slow its spread and support long-term ecosystem health. This is meaningful, visible work that makes a real difference on the ground.
This event is open to both new and returning volunteers. No prior experience is needed — guidance and instruction will be provided.
