A little mid-century charm.Spring and summer hats are on show!
This tea and talk will showcase the hats of Oshawa’s Lovell family women, the styles that once donned the hat shop windows of King Street, and the warm-season festivities of Oshawa.
To accompany the hat stories, Samantha will pepper the commentary with bridal shower etiquette must-knows and do’s from the past. Something all of the McLaughlin women were skilled with.
To truly evoke the spirit of midcentury bridal showers, guests are asked to bring a store-bought jar of their favourite pickles, as we create a pickle shower in support of a local food bank.
What's included
Enjoy a cup of tea and scone while you listen to a curatorial chat from Samantha and observe the hats as they are discussed as they circulate through the room.
