About this Event

A heart-opening cacao + rose ceremony blending sacred song, meditation, and community connection with Lindsay "LuLu" Simmons.

Join us for a gentle and grounding evening to reconnect with yourself, the healing spirit of cacao, and the beauty of community. This heart-opening ceremony weaves together sacred tradition, traditional medicine song, and vibrational healing to bring you home to presence, gratitude, unity and love.

In This Ceremony, You’re Invited To:

  • Savor the raw seeds of cacao and connect with its essence through taste.
  • Enjoy a warm, lovingly prepared ceremonial cacao beverage and a gentle medicinal rose blend.
  • Feel the light energy of cacao as it surrounds you, inviting inner peace and clarity.
  • Receive intuitive guidance through two beautiful oracle decks.
  • Connect in circle and sing with like-minded souls, learning traditional medicine music from the Yucatán.
  • Contribute to our community altar, honoring cacao with seeds, flowers, and prayers.
  • Receive a guided meditation to fully embrace the energy of cacao and its powerful healing essence.

The Experience:

We’ll begin with a limpia, a traditional energetic cleansing using resin from a sacred tree indigenous to Mexico. This ancient ritual helps to clear the energetic and psychic fields, opening space for the medicine of the evening to be received with greater ease. Together, we’ll honor the spirit of Cacao and Rose as teachers and allies of the heart and soul. As the evening unfolds, you’ll be guided through a gentle, meditative experience with a delicious ceremonial beverage made from cacao seeds of the Tabasco region of Mexico and a soothing medicinal blend of Rose and Hibiscus.

Surrounded by the loving frequency of our community altar, we’ll settle into sacred space together. You’ll be invited to share in ceremonial music and song, guided by the rhythm of the harmonium and medicine drum. No singing experience is needed—simply an open heart and a willingness to connect through sound, vibration, and presence. As the cacao begins to open the heart, you’ll be led through a restorative meditation designed to soothe the nervous system and heart, calm the spirit, and release feelings of pleasure and joy. There will be space for quiet rest, reflection, and integration, an opportunity to simply be with yourself and the generous present moment. We will close our time together in community, with song, sharing, and gratitude.

More About the Tradition of Cacao
Cacao is a precious gift from the earth. Originating from a large red fruit native to Central America, Cacao seeds are large, brown, and resemble the shape of an almond. Beyond its familiar role as food, cacao is revered as medicine that nurtures unity, ease, and deep emotional comfort. Most people have never experienced cacao in its pure, organic form. During this gathering, you’ll have the opportunity to taste and connect with it as our ancestors once did.

To me, Ceremony space is space to rest the forward-thinking mind and settle in the present moment. It’s space to be with yourself, your life, and deeper aspects of your spiritual path or to listen to the lessons life is weaving for you. Most of our days are too full to really sit, and be with our feelings, dreams, and desires. When we take sacred pause, we can take time to process recent happenings in our lives and make room for more love and presence in our lives. In short, Ceremony is where what is MOST IMPORTANT is revealed to us. The effects can be profound, and stay with us for week, months, and even years. The spirit of Cacao opens doors to a deeper, more loving journey within, softening even the most armored hearts. It has the power to transform dreams into actions, to center and calm you, and to awaken your intuition and psychic abilities.

More About the Healing Properties of Rose and Hibiscus:
Rose reminds us of the power of love in its purest form. Her gentle yet protective nature (i.e. thorns) helps us open our hearts while feeling safe and supported. Being with Rose invites calm, warmth, and compassion; like receiving a soft hug that reminds you you’re loved and enough just as you are.
Hibiscus brings the energy of joy, renewal, and beauty. She reminds us to slow down, savor life, and reconnect with the simple pleasure of being in our own skin. Her bright energy awakens the senses and helps the physical and emotional body release what no longer needs to be held.

Together, Cacao, Hibiscus, and Rose weave a loving trio of heart medicine that grounds us in love, restores balance, and brings harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. And they taste absolutely divine together.
