Travel to Ireland right here at the cafe, and experience a traditional Irish session. Every third Sunday of the month, we host an open session, welcoming all who play the instruments and tunes of traditional Irish music.Irish traditional music sessions (seisiúns) are friendly gatherings where musicians join together to share tunes and good company. Many of the tunes have been passed down through the generations and are decades to over a century old.
To create a truly authentic session experience, we will be playing only traditional Irish tunes - reels, jigs, hornpipes, airs, etc. - and welcome the instruments of the Irish session - fiddle, flute, tin whistle, harp, guitar, concertina, etc.
Whether you’re a seasoned trad head, just starting out, or here to soak up the music, come along and enjoy the spirit and energy of this amazing music.
