TradeQual Southland is an evening that celebrates the heart of our region – our skilled tradespeople.
This annual graduation dinner recognises:
The achievement of newly qualified trades graduates
The employer who support on-the-job training and development
Our industry training partners who help make it happen
And the huge value of the trades to Southland’s economy
TradeQual 2026 is not just a dinner – it’s a night of pride, connection, and celebration.
TradeQual is an evening of celebration. During the evening, a certificate is presented on behalf of the business community by the Mayors of Southland and the Southland Business Chamber to all the graduates that attend the event.
To be eligible, graduates must:
Graduated within the current year of presentation (January – December 2025)
Graduated in past (September 2023 – December 2024) *whilst event was paused for governments future plans
NZQA Level 4 Qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification
Be currently working with a Southland employer

Tickets are available from 2 February 2026 through iTicket, to be part of an enjoyable evening of recognition.
