Explore Weeksville’s geology, hills, and plants through artmaking and foraging in this 2-hour workshop.
About this Event

In this workshop, we will explore the ancient geologies of Hunterfly Road and how the forces beneath the earth brought the community of Weeksville to be what it came to be - a beacon at the crest of an ancient mountain, and a sanctuary for untold thousands in a chaotic city.

We will talk about hills, mountains, and the ocean. We will make art using materials from the land. And we will be "foraging" some of the brand new baby spring plants sprouting forth from the rocky soil, exploring how they may have once been used as food and medicine by the people who sought refuge here.

Class session is limited to 40 participants

Weeksville is home, and your comfort matters to us. If you have any accessibility needs or questions, please reach out to us at [email protected] we’re happy to support you in any way we can.
