Join certified sex educator Jasper St. James for Toys & Tacos, a Sex Toys 101 workshop! This is the next installment of his Just The Tip(s) series, where he’ll guide you through the exciting world of pleasure products. You’ll get the lowdown on all things sex toys… with a side of tacos, of course!
Whether you’re brand new to toys, curious about trying something different, or looking to upgrade your collection, this workshop has something for everyone. We’ll break down the different types of toys out there, show you some of the latest and greatest products, and walk you through how to choose the right ones for your body and desires. And because every great toy deserves great lube, we’ll also have a Lube 101 crash course covering the different types of lube, the best uses for each, and how to pair lube with your toys for maximum pleasure.
You’ll enjoy delicious tacos with your admission (because dinner and sex education is the perfect combo), plus an Ask a Sex Coach segment where you can anonymously submit questions and get real, shame-free answers. We’ll also have a small vendor market featuring local artists, makers, and community resources, and attendees will receive an exclusive incentive to shop the toys and lubes mentioned through Love Shack Boutique.
And because the season is all about giving, we’re hosting a children’s toy drive! Bring a new, unwrapped toy and you’ll be entered into a raffle for some fun prizes. The more toys you bring, the more entries you’ll receive!

Fine Print (a.k.a. The Important Stuff):
This event is open to folks of all genders and sexualities. Whether you’re flying solo, coming with a partner(s), or rolling in with your crew, everyone is welcome, as long as you’re 21 years or older.
This workshop is presentation-based. That means you’ll be learning through guided discussion, tips, and interactive education. There will not be any live sexual demonstrations (This ain’t that kind of party. No shade to those kinds of parties, though.) Instead, think of this as a shame-free, inclusive, and affirming space where you can learn, ask questions, and explore safely.
Consent is non-negotiable. That means no touching, no play, and no crossing boundaries without clear, enthusiastic agreement. Respect is mandatory, and so is kindness. No homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, racism, ageism, sexism, ableism, or any other form of discrimination will be tolerated. If you can’t vibe with respect, this isn’t the event for you.
All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
About Jasper St. James:
Jasper St. James is a Certified Sex Coach and Sex Educator with over 8 years of experience in the field of sexual health and wellness. Formerly with the Sexology Institute, he has spent nearly a decade empowering people to explore intimacy, pleasure, and confidence with knowledge and humor.
Beyond the classroom, Jasper is a proud San Antonio based content creator who highlights the best of the city, the founder and organizer of the You Better Walk: Queer Walking Club, and an award-winning burlesque performer with more than 15 years on stage. A staple in the local queer and creative community, he brings a mix of expertise, authenticity, and unapologetic flair to everything he does.
