Scott’s Run Settlement House has been serving Monongalia County and its surrounding communities for more than 100 years. This year, they have already received requests from more than 300 families to participate in their Christmas free shopping experience and the list grows daily. Unlike other holiday donation opportunities, this unique program allows parents the autonomy of choosing gifts for their children from an assortment of donated items. This also opens the door for donors to choose the items they purchase, rather than being given a specific shopping list.
The organization asks that any donations be in new condition. The kids range from newborn to 18 years old so they really need something for everyone! They will also be accepting donations of gift wrap supplies for the parents.
