2026 Household Hazardous Waste Day Saturday, August 1, 2026- 8:30am to 3:00pm
The Town of Bedford is holding its Annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Bedford Highway Garage, 19 Chubbuck Road, Bedford, NH. This is a one-day event for Bedford residents to dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste. Your vehicle must have a valid Bedford Transfer Station Sticker to participate in this event. NO EXCEPTIONS!
On Household Hazardous Waste Day when entering the Highway Garage with your household hazardous waste materials, place all hazardous waste in car trunk or truck bed and DO NOT EXIT YOUR VEHICLE. ATTENDANTS WILL REMOVE ALL ACCEPTABLE WASTE FROM YOUR VEHICLE.
The Town reserves the right to reject any liquid, material, or substance which in the opinion of the staff, constitutes a serious hazard to other users of the facility, or is otherwise unable to be processed.
Please NOTE: Latex Paint is NOT a hazardous material and can be disposed of at the Transfer Station with your regular trash once it's been thoroughly dried. Latex Paint is NOT accepted at HHWD, but oil-based paints are.
