Wakefield’s town charter states that “all legislative powers of the Town shall be exercised by an open Town Meeting." These meetings are typically held twice a year, the Annual Town Meeting in the spring and the Regular Town Meeting in the fall. Over the last few years, the meetings have alternated between weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Regular Town Meeting will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 8 a.m. in the auditorium at the Galvin Middle School, 525 Main Street. The Warrant, which contains 8 Articles, is available for voters to preview.

The Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield will be offering free childcare on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. to Noon (or until 10 minutes after the meeting ends; whichever comes first). Childcare will be located on site at the Galvin Middle School.
This opportunity is for children ages 4+ to join in on some fun age appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and music activities while you attend the Wakefield Town Meeting.
