About this Event
The Digital Euro is moving closer to reality, with legislation potentially adopted by 2026 and a first issuance envisaged by 2029. As a new form of off- and online legal tender, its success will hinge on building a public digital infrastructure that ensures accessibility, security, and trust across citizens, institutions, and markets.
Join us for an interdisciplinary roundtable discussion on how the Digital Euro can be designed to be technologically and environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive, and democratically legitimate. Bringing together perspectives from law, governance, and computer science, the seminar will feature short interventions followed by discussion and Q&A.
This is a hybrid event (both physical and online).
