About this Event

Join us for a creative workshop with Touretteshero and the rest of her crew as we prepare for a light-speed trip to ‘Planet You’.

In this two-hour illustration workshop, we’ll explore what kind of world we want to live in. We’ll ask how it feels when you’re there and what makes it unique to you.

You’ll use your imagination to create an illustration of your very own planet. You can then add it to a larger artwork to help form an ever-expanding ‘Solidarity Solar System’.

Jess Thom from Touretteshero will guide you through three creative activities including:

 • sketching and illustration
 • designing posters
 • making planets to contribute to the ‘Solidarity Solar System’ sculpture.

All art materials will be provided and there’ll be an activity booklet to take away.

Timings

The workshop will run in the Forum from 11:00 – 13:00.

A free lunch will be provided from 13:00 – 14:00 in the Studio for anyone who would like to stay and eat.

Chill-Out Room

We want you to feel comfortable to be yourself and experience the workshop in a way that is right for you.

If you need space away from the workshop at any time, you can come to our Chill-Out Room in the Studio. In this room, there will be low lighting, comfortable seating, cushions, mats and space to move around. You can also make use of ear defenders, earplugs, board games, stim toys and materials with different textures.

Who can come

This workshop is for people aged 14 to 19 years old and disabled people aged 14 to 25 years old.

Need to know

Reimagining Our World
