About this Event
Tour of the new Navy SEAL Museum
Presenter:
Capt. Brian “Beef” Drechsler, Executive Director, Retired Navy SEAL, Navy SEAL Museum
For nearly 80 years, Naval Special Warfare has directly impacted our freedom and influenced the course of our nation’s history. Though a small, select group, Navy SEALs have helped write our country’s fundamental history and continue to do so today.
Since 1985 on the original training grounds of World War II’s Frogmen, The National Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida has preserved the history and heritage of Navy SEALs and their predecessors.
We are relying on the entire country to help us build on this legacy with a second museum in the city that is headquarters to Naval Special Warfare Command and home to every aspiring SEAL candidate.
More than a museum, the Navy SEAL Museum in San Diego is an inspirational legacy for the entire nation. The Museum will present educational and emotional content designed to light a fire of contagious patriotism, ignite excitement in a new generation of Americans, and expand career opportunities for young people seeking a higher purpose. Scheduled to open in mid-2025, Navy SEAL Museum San Diego is located directly across from the Santa Fe train station, the MTS Trolley, and just walking distance from the Broadway Cruise Ship Terminal.
Navy SEAL Museum San Diego presents an extraordinary opportunity to bring a new worldclass destination to the country, inviting visitors of all ages and backgrounds into the world of the Navy SEALs—a world cloaked with mystery for decades.
