About this Event
Madeira Terrace is an iconic stretch of seafront arches and promenade on Madeira Drive in Brighton.
Built in the late 1800s, with cast iron and concrete as new materials at the time. The structural deterioration led to the terrace being closed in 2016 . Mackley won the tender to restore the first 28 arches and a new lift to improve access to the eastern seafront. Works began in 2024.
This is an opportunity to visit the works and speak with the Mackley team to hear about the progress and challenges along the way.
Site visit time: 10 slots at 8:30. When this is filled we have a waiting list to open up a 9:30 slot.
Site Entrance Location: See the What3Words: ///thinks.calms.spout
