An Sacred afternoon with Sisters exploring, releasing, transforming through Shamanism, mythology, healing sounds and yoga
About this Event

This month’s Touching the Bone’s workshop celebrates the joy and abundance of May. With the energies of the Flower Moon swirling around us, the Sagittarius energy uplifts, enlightens and offers us hope to the months ahead. In the 13 lunar moons of the Celtic calendar, this moon was the Hawthorne Moon. Called Huath (pronounced Hoh-uh) the potency of this blossom thrums through our energy field, cleansing our heart of negativity and simulating love and forgiveness.

In Celtic mythology, the Welsh goddess Olwen continues the transformative theme of May with her association with fire and spring flowers. Described wearing a flaming-red dress with a red-gold torc and many golden rings, she represents the golden wheel of the cycle of life, growth and renewal. Indeed, she is said to rule over life and death, moving from the underworld of winter she brings warming rays of sun to nourish our souls and breathe life into the flower and plants that are said to bloom under her feet as she walks. Embodying the essence of the sun’s radiant energy we can call on Olwen for courage and support as we tend to the seeds we started to sow at Beltane.

If you are called to join us you are welcome to bring and journal to record your inspirations and reflections from the afternoon and an offering for our alter.

During the afternoon we will

Connect with our body and rebalancing through gentle yet powerful asanas, pranayama and mantra
• Clear and harmonizie our energy field through the healing sounds gong, Himalayan and crystal bowls, percussion and voice
• Deepen our connection with Spirit and Nature through traditional Shamanic practices, Celtic mythology, Goddesses and folklore
• Use creativity, journaling, journeying, art to invite those parts that we have silenced, or perhaps have never known, into the light.

This isn’t therapy but sacred play. Through these processes and practices - both physical and energetic - my hope is you will be guided to clarity and connection to your beauty and strength as well as exploring and releasing your fears and vulnerabilities.

“The things that women reclaim are often their own voice, their own values, their imagination, their clairvoyance, their stories, their ancient memories. If we go for the deeper, and the darker, and the less known we will touch the bones.” – Clarissa Pinkola Estés, ‘Women who Run with the Wolves’.
