About this Event
Engage with Atanas Bozdarov and A.S.M. Kobayashi through facilitated touch, visual description and conversation with the artists. Made of access ramps, skateboard ramps and inspired by stories from disability and skate communities, this sculptural and multimedia installation focuses on physical barriers found in urban public spaces. The work explores design for intersecting needs and was undertaken by the artists after they’d observed accessibility structures being appropriated by skateboarders.
Though people of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, this tour offers expanded accessibility for wheelchair users, those who are blind, live with low vision or require low-sensory experiences.
Visual stories will be emailed to registrants two days in advance and provided in hard-copy format upon arrival.
