ALSO INTRODUCING: Tikiyaki & the Hawaiiana Brass in their debut performance, celebrating the release of their debut LP, “Weekend In Waikiki."
The Hawaiiana Brass takes the Tikiyaki sound into a super-fun, groovy, mid-60s post-exotica sound, inspired by Herb Alpert, Henry Mancini and TV, film theme and soundtrack music of the era. A 3-piece horn section takes the lead… think of your favorite TV show themes, add a little exotica flavor and a whole lot of upbeat mid-century pop into the mix, and you get the idea.
The Hawaiiana Brass will be performing songs from “Weekend in Waikiki” and copies of the vinyl LP and digital CD will be available at the show.
Watch for “Sushi,” the new single, out on February 20 with vinyl pre-orders beginning as well.
In this afternoon cabaret setting, you will experience a set of classic Tikiyaki Orchestra music, plus the debut set of Tikiyaki & the Hawaiiana Brass, combined with Campus Jax unique state-of the-art audio & visual splendor.
It's a Sunday matinee, not a late show, which means no excuses for “having to be at work early the next day” (for those of you who still work).
