Get ready to roll into winter fun with the Total Fun Bed Races, happening February 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon! Hosted in partnership with Castanet and Total Restoration, this free community event is part of the Vernon Winter Carnival and promises laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of team spirit.Local businesses, organizations, and groups are invited to form teams of five—four pushers and one brave rider—to race their custom-made beds down the track. Whether you build your racing machine from scratch or start with a ready-made frame crafted by our friends at Venture Training Vernon for just $200, you’re guaranteed a one-of-a-kind experience. Venture Training empowers people with developmental disabilities through hands-on skill-building—so your participation also supports a great local cause.
All racers must wear helmets, (full set of rules and regulations available on request) decorate, modify, or “soup up” your bed however you like, and join in the fun however it fits your team best. You can even keep your bed afterward for next year’s challenge or for bragging rights in the office.
This year, the challenge is on to take the trophy from reigning champions Nixon Wenger LLP. Winners will have their team name engraved on the official Total Fun Bed Race Trophy, proudly displayed at their place of business until next year’s showdown.
There’s no entry fee and no hidden costs—just laughter, teamwork, and a chance to showcase your business in front of the community with media coverage provided by Castanet.
