Total Dance/Dancical Productions, Inc. proudly announces its 26th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration featuring “Girl Why You Dance Like That” Fusion - From Africa to Hip Hop on Thursday, December 30, 2023 at the City of South Fulton Southwest Arts Center, located at 915 New Hope Rd., South Fulton, GA 30331 at 8:00pm. The Kwanzaa Village, a marketplace of unique gifts and entertainment begins at 2:00pm. The Kwanzaa Ceremony begins at 6:00pm. Both the Village and Ceremony are free and open to the public until 9:00 pm.
Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday observed from December 26th thru January 1st. Dr. Maulana Karenga created the Kwanzaa Festival in 1966. The celebration is based on seven principles recognized each day of Kwanzaa. This year's Total Dance/Dancical Productions' festivities are on the fifth day of Kwanzaa celebrating NIA, which means purpose.
