Class Description
Paint & Sip to the Classics is a guided painting experience combining art instruction with a relaxed, social meal. Participants will create a 12 x 16 painting inspired by a classic Model A or Model T automobile using chalk drawing, erasure techniques, and expressive brushwork. The class emphasizes creativity, perspective, and enjoying the process while honoring each participant’s finished work.

Instructional Focus
• Drawing from a box form
• Horizon line and vanishing point
• Introduction to three-point perspective
• Chalk drawing on canvas
• Erasing negative space using water and Q-tips
• Brush exercises using:
• Calligraphy brush
• Round brush for pressure “snake” strokes
• Liner brush for outlining shapes
• Applying white paint over chalk
• Optional tinting of white using watercolor crayon or pigment

Hour 1 – Food & Welcome
• Personal tortilla pizza
• Grape juice served in wine glasses
• Introduction to the project and materials
Hour 2 – Drawing & Technique
• Chalk layout: box, horizon line, vanishing point
• Perspective demonstration
• Line and brush exercises
• Q-tip erasing demonstration
• Central easel demo
Hour 3 – Painting & Completion
• Painting over chalk drawing
• Tinting demonstration
• Creative expression encouraged
• Finishing and honoring completed artwork

• 12 x 16 canvas (approx. $3.83–$4.00 each)
• Paint for demonstration and use
• Chalk, Q-tips, water containers
• Brushes (borrowed or purchased as needed)
• Optional primer if required

* No age limit, however, KD's Place has a children's corner for children to do crafts, read or play while the parent(s) paint. Also, KD's Place has their own menu for additional price not included in the fee, if you want something from there as well.
