Pack your appetite and your sense of adventure—no passport required! In this fun, hands-on class, we’re whisking you away to the heart of Italy with one of Emilia-Romagna’s most iconic culinary treasures: tortellini! These adorable, hat-shaped pasta pillows are packed with flavor and centuries of tradition, with Bologna and Modena still playfully feuding over who made them first.
While we may not settle the debate, we will be crafting some tortellini magic of our own! Under the expert guidance of Chef John Alunni, you’ll learn how to make pasta dough completely from scratch—just like Italian nonnas have done for generations. From rolling and cutting to stuffing and folding, you’ll shape each tortellini by hand, then cook up three crave-worthy versions to enjoy together in class.

🌿 Spinach, Three-Cheese & Herb Tortellini in Creamy Marinara
Tender, handmade tortellini bursting with a velvety blend of ricotta, parmesan, and mozzarella, brightened with fresh herbs and vibrant spinach. All served in a rich, silky marinara sauce with a touch of cream—comforting, cheesy, and utterly irresistible!
🍖 Classic Meat Tortellini En Brodo
A soul-warming Italian classic. These savory tortellini are filled with a flavorful mix of seasoned meats and gently simmered in a golden, aromatic broth. Light yet deeply satisfying, it’s Italian comfort food at its most authentic.
🍄 Wild Mushroom Tortellini with Truffle Parmesan Butter Sauce
Earthy wild mushrooms meet luxurious truffle and nutty parmesan in this decadent dish. Each delicate tortellini is bathed in a silky, fragrant butter sauce that’s pure indulgence on a plate.
🥖 Scratch-Made Bread Knots with Chef John’s Garlicky Bread Dipping Sauce
