This is really exciting, as the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) is extremely excited to welcome back to our stage, the best Tribute to Deep Purple, Classic Purple! They will be returning to our stage after many requests on Friday March 28th! Toronto Deep Purple tribute band – Classic Purple features some of our country’s best musicians and has been getting some serious recognition from some big name Canadian musicians! They absolutely tore down the house last summer when they performed at the Linsmore, so we had to bring them back for another one! If you are a Classic Rock fan, you are going to want to come out to this one! Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door!What makes Deep Purple such an enduring fan favourite after more than 50 years of recording and touring around the world? Is it the stratospheric vocals? The soaring guitar? The virtuosic keyboard solos? Toronto Deep Purple tribute band Classic Purple has all of these elements and more!
Composed of four professional musicians and Deep Purple fans, Classic Purple offers you a Deep Purple experience like no other. Neil Culbert (Thunderboogie) provides the incredible, note perfect vocals and searing guitar leads. Joel Visentin (The Lizards) is a jazz influenced keyboard wizard with great vocals too. The powerful rhythm section consists of Joey Slegtenhorst (Mother Leads) on bass and Ilios Steryannis (formerly of Led Zep tribute No Quarter).
With two solid sets of Deep Purple classics, including the entire 1972 album Machine Head, and a third set of classic rock party tunes, Classic Purple is ready to rock the Linsmore Tavern on Friday March 28th at 9pm.
