Join the Cruising Section on Thursday 18 June for the next Cruising Section Topic Night, Untangling Our Gentle Giants.Miecha Bradshaw and Richard Tunnicliffe from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) will share insights into whales in Cockburn Sound and surrounding waters, including the species we may encounter locally, whale entanglement, and how the sailing and boating community can help protect these magnificent animals.
The session will also cover what to do if you come across a whale in distress and the safest way to respond.
