What is Topi Diwas?
Topi Diwas is a meaningful cultural observance dedicated to the Nepali Topi, a proud symbol of Nepal’s national identity, heritage, and cultural values. The Dhaka and Bhadgaunle topi represent history, unity, and tradition. Celebrating Topi Diwas helps preserve our cultural heritage, strengthens our identity within Australia’s multicultural society, and inspires younger generations to remain connected to their roots.
The New Year signifies renewal, hope, and shared aspirations. As we welcome 2026, this Meet and Greet programme provides an opportunity for community members to reconnect, strengthen relationships, and move forward together with positivity, harmony, and unity.
