After touring the world with Woody Herman and performing with greats such as Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, and Sammy Davis, Jr., Tony built one of the top-rated collegiate music programs in the country, winning national awards and bringing world renowned musicians (Chuck Mangione, Mel Lewis, Thad Jones, Stan Kenton, Clark Terry, Bob Mintzer, Marvin Stamm, and dozens more) to perform with his students who traveled from all over the country study with him at Youngstown State University. This concert will feature over 40 of Tony’s former students from around the country, including Grammy-award winning, Grammy-nominated, accomplished and award-winning musicians, arrangers, composers, professors, instructors, teachers, band leaders, conductors, directors, performers and artists from NYC to Los Angeles, from Hawaii to Florida, who have performed with jazz legends as well as pop culture icons such as Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Barry Manilow, Bruce Hornsby, Bonnie Raitt, Cher, Olivia Newton-John, Chaka Khan, the Beach Boys, and countless others. Produced and organized by his daughter, Paula Leonardi Ducato, this is a once in a lifetime event featuring some of the top musicians in the world under one roof.
