About this Event

Join Tomorrow Bookstore for a poetry performance evening with four incredible, award-winning poets. Each poet will perform their works for 15 minutes each. After the show, you'll be able purchase and get copies of their collections signed.

Lisa Low is the author of Replica (University of Wisconsin Press, 2026) and the chapbook Crown for the Girl Inside (YesYes Books, 2023). She is the recipient of a 2023 Pushcart Prize and the 2020 Gulf Coast Nonfiction Prize, and her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Ecotone, The Massachusetts Review, Poetry, The Southern Review, and elsewhere. Originally from Maryland, she lives in Chicago.

Danny Caine is the author most recently of How to Defend Books and Why: Book Bans and How We Fight Them, as well as Jewish American Dream, winner of the inaugural Sarabande Chapbook Prize. He’s also written four poetry collections as well as the books How to Protect Bookstores and Why and How to Resist Amazon and Why. He’s a former owner of the Raven Book Store, winner of Publishers Weekly’s 2022 Bookstore of the Year award. His poetry has appeared in The Slowdown, LitHub, DIAGRAM, HAD, and Barrelhouse. Chantel Massey is a poet, author, teaching artist, editor, organizer, educator, practicing Afrofuturist, and avid anime lover from Indiana. Massey is a fellow of The Watering Hole, VONA poetry resident, and has received support from La Maison Baldwin, Brooklyn Poets, Hurston/Wright Foundation, and Tin House. Massey received her MFA from Randolph College. She is a 2023 Best of Net Award winner and 2020 Indiana Eugene and Marilyn Glick Author Awards Emerging Author finalist for her first collection of poetry, Bursting At The Seams (VK Press, 2018), a Midwest Black girl coming of age story. Massey founded the literary arts organization, UnLearn Arts, radically dedicated to amplifying and cultivating the craft and wellness of Black diasporic women and non-binary writers in the Midwest and elsewhere. Massey is on a life-long mission, through poetry and the transformative power of storytelling, to make the pursuit and vision of what has not yet been, irresistible, to inspire curiosity, and challenge how we engage with the world.
