Castro’s new album, Tommy Castro Presents A Bluesman Came To Town, is a roots music odyssey co-written with Grammy-winning producer Tom Hambridge. Across 13 songs, the album tells the story of a young farm boy bitten by the blues bug who masters the guitar, leaves home in search of fame, and ultimately rediscovers the true treasures he left behind.
Drawing from personal and shared experiences on the road, Castro weaves together blistering tracks like the title song and heartfelt numbers such as "Child Don’t Go" and "Blues Prisoner." A seasoned performer with decades of touring—from local San Jose clubs to national stages—he brings an authentic, high-energy sound, blending gritty blues with rock and soulful vibes.
With a storied career that includes headlining, a stint on NBC’s Comedy Showcase, and multiple Blues Music Awards (including the B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year Award), Castro continues to captivate audiences. As he prepares to perform solo, he promises an unforgettable blend of raw emotion and virtuosity.
