Burn Into Sleep Large Ensemble
Long used as the nom-de-plume of husband and wive team Lauren and David McLean. For this special show, the Burn Into Sleep membership has been extended to include some of the core duo's favourite musicians, many of them leading figures in the UK's free-improv and experimental music communities. Recording throughout the day in the reverberant space of St Margaret's Church, the ensemble will be drawing up graphic scores, unique combinations of instruments and the space itself to deliver a unique, one time performance.
Andi Jackson
Although more commonly known for his room swallowing guitar work in ethereal dream-drone duo Thraa, Jackson has been a committed and seasoned side-man in some of Manchester's loudest and rowdiest bands, playing either bass, guitar or both in Lake of Snakes, Shuck and Aughra. In amongst his core band activities, Jackson has begun to investigate new ways of using the electric guitar resulting in the release of two aurally challenging solo records on his own tape label imprint Fr33zehead records, homaging Glen Branca, Ryhs Chatham and Keiji Haino whilst forging new ground.
