The Ride of Silence is an international movement to remember people who have been injured or killed while riding a bicycle. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves. The ride will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, so please arrive by 6:30 Program at 6:45 p.m. These events are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary, but helmets are required.
Meet in Parking Area 2 near the Bancroft Street entrance of the University of Toledo.
The Ride of Silence is open to riders and supporters alike. If you do not ride or are unable to ride, we invite you to attend the program, support the riders, and stand with our cycling community.
