About this Event
TWA's first habitat improvement project is ready for phase II. On April 11, we cleared a lot of multiflora rose from woods adjacent to the boat launch. On May 30 we will continue the work and plant native herbaceous plants and wood shrubs in the same area to take up the space - give invasives less opporunity to overrun.
If you have them, bring your own pruners, loppers, gloves, hand trowels, and eye protection. We'll bring extras to lend. Dress for work in the woods with plentiful prickers and thorns. Don't forget your water bottle!
Lake Towhee Park is a county owned property, volunteers are required to sign a waiver assuming personal safety and financial responsibility for our work.
