The Bingham Cup is the ultimate celebration of LGBTQ+ inclusive rugby, uniting teams from the International Gay Rugby community for a week-long festival of sport and unity. Named in honour of Mark Bingham, a heroic passenger on United Flight 93 during the September 11 attacks, the tournament brings together LGBTQ+ rugby teams from around the world for a celebration of diversity in sport. More than just a rugby competition, the Bingham Cup serves as a powerful platform for breaking down stereotypes and promoting acceptance within the traditionally macho world of sports.
