Timucua Opera Festival: Opera Orlando features its outstanding 2025-26 season Studio Artists in an intimate production of Handel's pastoral "little opera," ACIS & GALATEA. A typical baroque work exploring the lives of gods, mortals, and monsters, Galatea is a semi-divine nymph who is in love with the shepherd Acis. She is coveted by the giant Polyphemus, who spoils their romance. Handel's beautiful and melodious opera will be accompanied by Company pianist Nathan Cicero on harpsichord.***
