Todd Marston has been working in Portland, Oregon as a professional pianist, composer and music teacher since 2015. He has released multiple albums under his own name (Integer Quintet 2024, Seven Songs Six Drummers 2023, Solidarity Themes 2022 etc). He recently won the 2023 OMTA (Oregon Music Teachers Association) Composer of the Year Award. His composition, Emo Chi, won first place in both The Great American Song Contest (2025) & Indie International Song Contest (2025). He leads the Marston Composition Collective & Advanced Composers Ensemble at Second Story Studios in Woodlawn every Monday night. These ensembles are aimed at supporting local songwriters and composers in developing their compositional voices. Todd believes in music as a transformational force and dedicates himself to exploring its alchemizing power in his life and work.
Todd Sickafoose is a Tony and Grammy award-winning composer, producer, arranger, orchestrator, bandleader and double bassist. He makes richly moving, imaginative music which has been called "thoroughly original, endlessly creative” by Jazz Times and "stunningly brilliant” by Bassplayer. He has performed on hundreds of recordings, toured internationally, appeared at music venues and festivals from Carnegie Hall to New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and played on national television and radio programs including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with Conan O’Brien, The Artists Den, and NPR’s Mountain Stage. Known as a musical cross-breeder who stretches across genres, Sickafoose has been described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “a captivating improviser, imaginative composer, and master of collaboration”.
Drummer Jason Palmer is a percussionist and educator who is active throughout Oregon, the United States, and internationally. His performances include appearances at St. Peter's Church and the Knitting Factory in New York, the Rochester Jazz Festival, the High Sierra Music Festival, The Sitka Jazz Festival, and Jazz Festival Calgary. Regionally, he has performed at The Waterfront Blues Festival, the Cathedral Park Jazz Festival, the Portland Jazz Festival, and the Oregon Festival of American Music. Since 1995, Jason has performed and recorded with such artists as Danilo Perez, John Clayton, Ben Monder, Ron Miles, Dave Frishberg, Bucky Pizzarelli, John Zorn, Steve Wilson, Lizz Wright, Sheryl Bailey, Chuck Redd, Dick Hyman, Ken Peplowski, Randy Porter, and George Colligan. His recordings have been reviewed in Cadence, All About Jazz, and the All Music Guide.
