To The Tower by Night

A unique kayaking trip to get up close to some of London's most famous landmarks in the hours of darkness. To The Tower by Night trip is a kayaking trip from Greenwich to the Tower of London passing the Meridian, sights of Greenwich, Deptford, Canary Wharf, Wapping passing Tower Bridge to the Tower of London. On the return leg, you will finish in Wapping at a historic Tavern called "The Town of Ramsgate". The trip is with the tide and passes many historic sites and Taverns en route, guides on the evening will give you plenty of information on the history of the River and its historic surroundings. Note we will drop you at the pub at the end of the event, for safety reasons this event is alcohol- free however once you are finished you are free to celebrate.

Trip suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners. The length of the trip including kit-up time approximately 2.15hours. All equipment is included just dress warmly for the day. The trip is for Adults Only. London Kayak Company is an approved British Canoeing paddlesports provider and is compliant with the Port of London Authority.

Where will my event start and Finish

We will meet you on the Riverside by our base The beach we launch from postcode is SE10 0PY , our base address is 8 Springham Walk . NOTE we are about 10 minutes walk east of The Old Naval College in Greenwich or 15 minutes walk west of The Jubilee Line at Greenwich North. Plan your route in advance. Your trip will finish at Old wapping Stairs next to The historic pub called The Town of Ramsgate. YOU MUST ARRIVE 15 MINUTES IN ADVANCE OF THE START TIME LATE COMERS WILL NOT BE ACCOMODATED.

Start Point ..We are 15 minutes walk from DLR in Greenwich or 15 minutes walk from Greenwich North Station on the Jubilee Line.

Finish Point... The address of the finish is 62 Wapping High Street, London, GB E1W 2PN. less than 5 min away from Wapping Tube Station.5 Mins walk to Wapping Tube Station.

 What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring comfortable clothes to paddle in, and dress for the weather including a pair of training shoes you don't mind getting muddy.  We supply all equipment including good quality waterproofs. It is always advisable to bring a complete change of clothes.
