About this Event
Texas has been a national leader in adopting high-quality instructional materials, and that progress matters. But across the state, districts are seeing a familiar pattern: strong core instruction that isn't yet translating into outcomes for every student, especially those who need additional support. The gap isn't effort. It's coherence.
Join TNTP for a two-hour briefing bringing together district leaders, community organizations, and non-profit partners to explore what it looks like when instructional systems are intentionally aligned, from core instruction to intervention to special education, so that every student benefits from the strong foundation Texas has already built.
We'll introduce TNTP's Coherence by Design framework, share Texas-specific data on how misalignment shows up in student outcomes and what Domain 3 signals for districts (Domain 3, Closing the Gaps, is the component of Texas's A-F accountability system that measures whether outcomes are improving for all student groups and accounts for 30% of a school's overall rating), and hold time for structured peer discussion about the coherence gaps that matter most in your context and what it takes to move from insight to action.
This briefing is ideal for non-profit leaders and community organizations invested in improving outcomes for Texas students, as well as superintendents, district curriculum and instruction leaders, and directors of intervention and special education. Coffee and light pastries will be available upon arrival. Space is limited, so please register to reserve your seat.
