This is a British thriller exploring the life of a drag performer Jules and the challenges he faces as a gay black man living in London.
This film explores the following themes: Homophobia, Structural Racism
Our goal is to create a communal space to explore and be inspired by films and documentaries created by Black people across the diaspora both past and present. Tackling ideas such as Black feminism, anti-racism, colonialism, cultural preservation and archival and much more. It is an intimate space and our goal is to expand as time goes by to accommodate more people.
We will have snacks and refreshments but feel free to bring your own and share! Even bring your dinner if you like - there are microwaves and fridges available to use.
Come join us as we watch the film and engage in discourse in a safe and communal space!
