About this Event
Join us for a free, life-saving training designed to empower our community with the tools to prevent suicide and respond to opioid overdoses.
Each year in Tennessee, more than 1,200 lives are lost to suicide—exceeding deaths from homicide and drunk driving combined. In 2024 alone, 3,616 Tennesseans died from opioid overdoses. The good news: more lives are being saved as everyday people—friends, family members, and bystanders—step in. Between 2020 and 2022, overdose reversals by non-professionals increased by 43%, a trend that has continued. (*Source: CDC)
Just as CPR and the Heimlich maneuver help save lives, you can make a difference too. This training will teach you how to recognize warning signs, respond effectively, and connect individuals to the help they need using proven methods like QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and overdose reversal techniques.
Knowledge is power—you can save a life.
The Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition invites you to attend this impactful training at no cost. Free Naloxone kits will be available. Dinner will be provided.
