TMX Group is pleased to invite you to participate in a roundtable discussion regarding Canada’s capital markets, economic reconciliation, and how TMX can work with emerging Indigenous leaders and entrepreneurs, students, and emerging talent to better include Indigenous peoples in Canada’s capital markets.
ABOUT THE SESSION
TMX Group is pleased to invite you to participate in a roundtable lunch discussion regarding Canada’s capital markets, economic reconciliation, and how TMX can work with Indigenous business and community leaders to improve access to capital and grow the Indigenous economy. This 2-hour session has been specially designed for Indigenous business founders and entrepreneurs, leaders of Indigenous economic development organizations and band-owned economic ventures, and Indigenous capital-allocators who are working to advance economic reconciliation by growing the Indigenous economy. The session is part of a series of national engagements being carried out by TMX group as it designs its approach to reconciliation.
The session will be co-facilitated by FNMPC and TMX Group and it will include opening remarks by TMX Group to share information about capital markets and the role of stock exchanges in Canada, followed by a discussion about what can be done to enhance access to markets and capital. This discussion will aim to enhance participants' knowledge about accessing capital through the public markets and will help inform TMX Group’s work in advancing reconciliation.
