In 2026, the Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) proudly celebrates 60 years of bringing people together through the rich and vibrant traditions of Scottish music and song.
From local gatherings to international stages, the TMSA has created countless opportunities for everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned tradition bearers, to connect, share, and pass on the living heritage of Scotland’s musical soul.
What began with a single festival in Blairgowrie has blossomed into a movement rooted in community, carried by the voices, tunes, and stories of those who’ve kept the tradition alive across generations.
Barbara Dickson has had a stellar international career but has always stayed in touch with her folk music roots. Patron of the Traditional Music & Song Association (TMSA), she will take to the Perth Concert Hall stage to celebrate the Association’s 60th Birthday with a group of musical friends, young and not so young.
