Did you know the vast majority of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery’s collections are not on public display? Beyond the galleries lies a vast archive of specimens, objects, and scientific collections used by researchers investigating Lutruwita/Tasmania’s wildlife, environments, history, and deep geological past. For two nights only, TMAG’s Scientific Team are scouring the vaults and collection drawers to share some of their favourite finds. Watch live dissections, peer down microscopes, and chat with the research scientists who collect, catalogue, and care for TMAG’s scientific collections.
Enjoy live music and grab a drink from the bar while you explore Beaker Street Festival exhibitions including the 10th annual Beaker Street Science Photography Prize Finalist Exhibition and student-created scientific artworks from our 2026 CoLab Program.
The program will be released in the coming weeks.
