On Dec. 13 Oxford Civic Chorus will celebrate the holiday season with "'Tis the Season: A Journey to Bethlehem." This concert will honor Mary and her journey to motherhood. The first piece "Mary, Mother" is a six-movement piece by Bob Chilcott that tells the story of Mary's journey to Bethlehem.
The second piece, "Magnificat" by Taylor Scott Davis, is a moving tribute that explores Mary's emotional journey from a mere child herself to becoming God's chosen one. This piece will be accompanied by a 10-piece orchestra.
