About this Event

In connection with Coming into Focus, our photography exhibition, learn about tintype photography from Will Harlan Campbell, Instructor of Photography at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, through a live demonstration of the process.

Harlan Campbell is a photographic artist from Durham, NC who has been a student and practitioner of the medium for over 30 years. His practice is centered on analog photography with a concentration in historic processes—primarily the collodion wet plate and gelatin dry plate process. Harlan teaches courses and workshops through Light Matter Studio, Photo Farm, and the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.
