Join us for a play reading from playwright Megan Rivkin, current Visiting Playwright at Interlochen Arts Academy. Featuring actors from the Mashup Troupe, Solstice Theatre, and regulars to the Old Town Playhouse stage, it's a chance for both audience and playwright to hear the work come alive and reimagine how it will work onstage. Timmy is a comedy about a multigenerational family stuck in the suburbs in the early 2010’s who are on the verge of killing each other. Instead, they enact an elaborate catfishing scheme, using a fictional boyfriend, “Timmy,” to con their oldest daughter, Alexa, out of $20k, which they use to renovate their home.
Please note that this play has adult themes and intense sexual language and is intended for mature audiences only.
The event is “Pay What You Can" which means you can even get a ticket for $0.00
We hope you might throw in a little something OR make a tax deductible donation alongside your free admission.
