About this Event
This interactive training day explores the experiences of those who have had a termination of pregnancy. The day is suitable for relevant healthcare professionals, mental health & wellbeing practitioners, bereavement and educational professionals who find themselves supporting individuals who have experienced termination.
Key Aims:
- An introduction to termination of pregnancy & the different reasons for termination.
- Explore the associated emotions following the decision to have a termination.
- Develop an understanding of common misconceptions.
- Reflect on lived experience from TimeNorfolk clients.
Timings
Registration opens at 9am with refreshments and the first session will begin at 9.30am.
The day will end at 4pm.

-Emotional Impact of Termination: Jessica Vaccaro & Lindsey Nettleton from the TimeNorfolk Team.
-Termination and common misconceptions: Daisy Mattinson, Specialist Nurse Sonographer in Gynaecology at NNUH.
-Greenacres Supporting the Community: Bekki James, Engagement Relationship Manager at GreenAcres.
-Supporting parents through decision-making and ending a wanted pregnancy: Hannah Coates, Engagement and Development Coordinator, ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices)
-Lived experience stories.
