The Exponential Festival presents
TIME PASSES (for Ellen Brody)
Created by THE GOAT EXCHANGE
My husband tells me you’re in sharks.
I don’t think he’ll ever go in the water again after what happened yesterday.
Want to get drunk and fool around?
Oh that’s nice.
How nice.
Time is passing strangely for Ellen Brody. The long night seemed to have set in. Nothing, it seemed, could survive the flood. But what after all is one night?
In TIME PASSES (for Ellen Brody) The Goat Exchange brings together two great texts from 20th-century women: “Time Passes,” the astonishing 28-page central section of Virginia Woolf’s modernist masterpiece To the Lighthouse, and all the wife’s lines in Jaws. Performed by The Goat Exchange’s co-artistic director, Chloe Claudel, the play passes time with the supporting characters—the wife, the house, the shark.
Coffee?
