After 8 sell-out blocks of workshops, Time for one Poem is back for one last time before the summer break!
There are two different blocks depending on whether you are a 'Beginner' or 'More Experienced'. Both will include: writing exercises, prompts, discussions about (mostly) modern and contemporary poems, and lots of tea and biscuits!
About the Beginners course
In these relaxed and informal sessions, published poet and experienced workshop leader Annie Muir will create a comfortable environment for a group of beginners to start their poetry journey.
Each session will involve looking at a poem (or two!) and seeing what we can make of it as a group. This will be followed by prompts to get us started in writing our own poems.
While there will be some talk of poetry techniques, no prior experience is needed. The main purpose of the workshops are to discuss our general thoughts and feelings about the poems using our past experiences – and have fun!

About the More Experienced course
This group is perfect for anyone who is looking for a community of like-minded people to have discussions about poetry and share their writing with.
In this block we try some new more adventurous writing exercises, experiment with new forms and also do at least one editing and feedback session. The course is also tailored to anything the group are particularly interested in doing.

Beginners
When: Every Thursday from 6th June to 11th July (6 weeks)**
What time: 6:15 – 7:40PM (1 hour and 25 minutes)
Where: Glasgow Zine Library, 32-34 Albert Rd, Glasgow G42 8DN (2 minutes walk from Queens Park train station)
Price: £90 (£15 per session) for the full 6-Week Course (plus Eventbrite booking fee)
Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible
More Experienced
When: Every Thursday from 6th June to 11th July (6 weeks)**
What time: 7:45 – 9:10PM (1 hour and 25 minutes)
Where: Glasgow Zine Library, 32-34 Albert Rd, Glasgow G42 8DN (2 minutes walk from Queens Park train station)
Price: £90 (£15 per session) for the full 6-Week Course (plus Eventbrite booking fee)
Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible
**The third workshop for both courses will be on TUESDAY 18th JUNE instead of the Thursday

About the Facilitator
Annie Muir is an experienced workshop facilitator with a Masters degree in Creative Writing from The University of Manchester. Her debut poetry pamphlet, , was published by Broken Sleep Books in 2021. She has a Creative Scotland funded podcast, Time for One Poem, aimed at complete beginners to poetry.
